This was our second time designing for the gaming industry, and it immediately sent us down a nostalgia spiral—back to late-night PlayStation marathons as kids. Naturally, we had to do some "research," which just meant playing more video games. Essential for understanding the industry, right?
The Concept: A Swirl Into the Unknown
The Devil’s Triangle is an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online game) set in the golden age of piracy, a time when the ocean was both a highway for riches and a death trap for the unlucky. When developing the brand identity, we kept asking ourselves: what is more terrifying than the open sea? The answer: a swirling abyss, which just so happens to fit perfectly into the mysterious lore of the Bermuda Triangle. That became the foundation of the brand mark—a vortex pulling you into the unknown, with a triangle at its core. Simple enough to be recognizable, but with just enough edge to feel ominous.

Colors & Textures: Gritty, Mysterious, and Bold
To capture the era’s gritty reality, we added a worn, grunge texture to the identity—because nothing about 17th-century piracy was clean. The color palette? A mix of amber, black, white, and gray. Amber brings the energy; black sets the mood; gray helps with contrast. Together, they strike a balance between mystery and modernity.
Typography: A Balance of Old and New
Typography played a huge role in tying everything together. Harri Text, with its classic look, grounds the brand in history, while Inter keeps things fresh and readable. The mix ensures the brand feels both legendary and current.

More Than Just a Logo (Or at Least, That’s How We See It)
Branding is so much more than just a logo—or at least, that is what we like to think. For The Devil’s Triangle, we created a full identity system: a pitch deck template, social media assets, business cards, and even LinkedIn profile elements. All of these reinforce the brand’s presence, ensuring consistency across platforms.
Working on this project was a reminder of how much we love gaming (even if finding time to play is harder these days). But this? This is a game we will absolutely be binge-playing.
